Aloha Friday - Christmas Carols

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday, where I ask a simple question for you to answer in the comments (if you want to).

I love Christmas music...not only does it help put me in the spirit, but the words of so many Christmas carols are packed with such profound meaning.

So my question today is...
  • Tell me one of your favorite lines from a Christmas song?

Please leave your answer in a comment below.

And here's mine (or one of my favorites):

    How silently, how silently,
    The wondrous gift is giv'n!
So God imparts to human hearts
    The blessings of His heav'n.

(From Oh Little Town of Bethlehem.)

If you have a blog and would like to post your own question you can leave your link at An Island Life.

    1. My all time favorite song from when I was little was The Little Drummer boy. When we were in school we made drums out of oatmeal containers and sang along as we drummed. A wonderful memory!

I played my drum for Him
      Pa rum pum pum
I played my best for Him
      Pa rum pum pum pum
      Rum pum pum pum
      Rum pum pum pum
      Then He smiled at me
      Pa rum pum pum pum
      Me and my drum

    2. Donny Hathaway - This Christmas

      Presents and cards are here
My world is filled with cheer and you
      This Christmas
      And as I look around
Your eyes outshine the town, they do
      This Christmas
      Fireside is blazing bright
      We're caroling through the night

"Oh the weather out side is frightful,
but the fire is so delightful,
and since we've no place to go..
Let it Snow, Let it snow, Let it snow."

    11. Hey, I guess One of my many favorites would be Silent Night
" Silent Night , Holy Night, all is calm , all is bright".... Just one of those things where you can see on a soft slow wintery night fall where there is no traffic and it's so quite and serene. That is magical :) cheers
