Click on the picture below for the printer size version.

(Non commercial or classroom use only)

If you or your little one color one of my coloring pages and would like to share what you made, please e-mail me at ecarian at yahoo dot com and show me it! Let me know if I can use it as an example on my site, and if you post it up on your blog send me the link so I can link to it. :-)

New Design - Roses on Weathered Wood

Since Zazzle came out with wrapping paper, I've been having fun messing around with seamless designs in the Gimp.  I was playing around with some photos I had...most looked pretty horrible made seamless.

And then, I tried a picture of a rose that had found it's way through our fence from our neighbors yard.  It looked nice...but was missing something.  I decided to try the cartoonize filter (same as posterize on Adobe).

And wow...this showed up...

There's this little thrill that goes up my spine when I try something and it turns out really well.  I loved how it came out.  It really looked painted (unlike a lot of photos I've tried this technique on).  Even the fading that comes with making a design seamless worked here, making it look like the flowers were painted on the wood, and weather had faded the paint after time.

It looks good on wrapping paper, but I tried it on some other items and think it looks even better on these....

I'd love to hear what you think!  And bloggers and webmasters, if you like this, you can use it as a background on your blog.  Just please read the terms below.

Click on the images above to get a larger version to print. These printouts are free for you and your kids to use. They can be used as coloring pages in schools, day-cares, churches, or of course, at home. They may NOT be re-posted on another website or used commercially without my permission. You may, however, post pictures of the print-outs you or your child has colored on your personal, non-commercial website or blog (or on flickr, facebook, or other social networking sites).

And here's some pictures of some my website visitors have colored:

Regina colored a heart together with her daughter Aurora.
You can see more pictures on her blog here.

Beeb used a purple sharpie and a
pink hi-lighter to make her Psychedelic Leaves.

Petra (a forum friend of mine)
colored this heart...

...and her son colored this heart...

...and this leaf.

If you'ld like to color a Scribbleprint like these, they are free to print here.

If you or your child has colored one of these, and you want to share it, you can e-mail me a picture of it at ecarian@yahoo.com, or post it on your blog or website and leave a link in the comments and I'll add it to this page!

Free Twitter and Facebook Blog Buttons

You may have noticed that I have a new button on my sidebar...a twitter button!  Yes, that's right, I'm on Twitter now!   Tweet tweet!  Just another way to follow!

I made my button to match my facebook button, and shrunk them a little...

twitter facebook

I thought they came out rather nice.

Since I used a free graphic from The Graphics Fairy to make the bird silhouette, I thought it would be nice to "pay it forward" a little and pass on some freebies to you. So, I made the following blog graphics which are a little less Scribbleprints-centric. These are free to use on your blog or website.   To do this right click on the pictures below and save them to your computer, then upload them to your blog or server or a free graphics storage site like PhotoBucket .

RED BUTTONS

BLUE BUTTONS

You can find the original Oriole graphic I used
to create the Twitter bird The Graphic Fairy.

The graphic did not start in silhouette.
Here is that graphic with the background removed,
and then changed into a silhouette.

You notice I removed the leaves and added a leg on (the bird looked one-legged in silhouette without it). The added leg really changes the look of the bird...makes him look like he's sitting on top of a branch in stead of dangling under it. I also changed the branch a little bit. This was actually my first idea...I made the branch longer for my buttons.

You are welcomed to use these for your own graphics projects or whatever. You can click on them for slightly larger versions.   If you use them online a link back to me (http://www.scribbleprints.com ) and The Graphics Fairy (http://graphicsfairy.blogspot.com/) somewhere on your page would be appreciated, but is not required.  Of course, all of the other graphics on this blog are off limits, unless of course you are using them to help promote my site or products, or I've otherwise specifically given you permission.

Free Fall Printable Coloring Pages

Time to remind everyone about the fun free fall coloring page I have to offer! Now doesn't that look fun to color? And they aren't just for kids! Grown-ups can have fun coloring too!

I also have one sectioned into smaller cut-apart boxes which would be fun for a classroom activity, party favors, trick-or-treat bags, or for a fun activity to keep the kids busy while waiting for Thanksgiving dinner.

Leaves to Cut and Share
(For non-commercial, personal use only.)

Here's how to turn this into a fun favor:

  1. Click on the image above for a larger, printable version.
  2. Right click and save it on your computer.
  3. Print it.
  4. Cut out along the dotted lines.
  5. Take a couple crayons and a small rubber band (like the little ones used for hair-braids), then wrap each coloring paper you just cut out around the crayons and secure with the rubber band.
  6. ALTERNATIVE IDEA:  Follow steps 1 - 4, but in stead of rolling it around crayons, cut out cardboard slightly larger than the picture (old cereal boxes work good for this), and using a glue stick glue a single leaf picture on the  front.  This gives the kiddos a solid surface to draw on.  Put these in a plastic or cello wrap baggie with crayons OR use a hole punch to make a hole, tie a ribbon to it, and tie a crayon or colored pencil on the other end.
Wha-la! A fun party favor that costs next to nothing!

These are just a couple of the coloring pages you can print for free from my site. See more here.

And here's some examples of them colored by my readers...

Beeb colored the following.  She didn't have crayons ready, so she used a
purple sharpie and a pink hi-lighter to make her Psychedelic Leaves.

Petra's son colored this leaf.  Love it!

Oh, and here's how I colored mine...

OK, ok...so that really isn't made from the print-outs. Actually, that's the original design which I sell on printed products in my shops. I made the black and white version afterwards especially for the coloring pages. Hope you enjoy it! Please be nice and only use these for personal or classroom use, thanks!
