Aloha Friday/2 Q Thurs - Do You Get It?

Every now and then I participate in Aloha Friday, where I ask a simple question for you to answer (nothing that requires a lengthy response) and Two Question Thursday (same idea...only TWO questions).  If you'ld like to, comment with an answer to the questions below:

The questions this week will be about this maternity shirt I designed:

This is the design of mine that has most often baffled friends and family. Time and again I've heard "I don't get it. What's that supposed to mean?" And yet, maternity shirts with this design sell better than any other product I sell through CafePress, so I know that there's a lot of people out there get this joke.

So, my question to you is...
  • Do you get it?
  • What do you think it means? (No cheating and reading other's answers!)
I'll try to post the meaning I was meaning next Aloha Friday, for anyone who's baffled.

If you have a blog and would like to post your own questions you can leave your link on the linkys at 2 Questions Thursday and An Island Life.

  1. I get it. Maybe you are trying to say that drinking the water makes the tummy popped like that? Maybe not. :-)
I drank a lot of water while I was pregnant. It was good for the baby. Not sure what else it could mean.

  2. Bloated tummy from water.
I think I prefer "I ate the baby" LOL!
Seriously, I'd say that "there is LIFE growing in here"...why hide it anyway?

  3. Oh sure, we used that expression a lot or at least similar to it. We'd say, "There must be something in the water." If I'm on mark, then you're saying you drank the water and now you're pregnant. Am I right? =D

Thanks for coming by my blog today. It's great having a new friend!

  4. Oh man, I should get it. I feel so stupid. Okay. Does it mean you don't know how this happened? Must be something in the water? Like we always say when we have no explanation for something.

By the way, I like the image in your header.

Nice meeting you. Hope you join us on Thursday Two Questions again.

  6. Got it!
It's an expression that I have used often when several gals are pregnant at the same time, "There must be something in the water".

    Cute shirt!

  7. AHAHAHAHA! I love it! Especially because I do get it - there were several of us that were pregnant at the same time at work...we always joked to other people 'don't drink the water!' ;)

  10. Totally get it. When my church has a baby boom (like it is right now) we always joke that there is something in the water. Thankfully I am one of the few who has not drunk the water!

  11. I think it means the water got your pregnant, with other ladies at the same time.

  12. I've heard of people saying tghere's something in the water when a lot of people get pregnant at the same time? In my office, there are 4 pregnant ladies, so we say don't sit in that chair! I also like maternity shirts that say I'm not fat just pregnant, or I ate all the cake ;-)

  13. I get it... It seems that when one person gets pregnant.. others follow. The old saying is that "there must be something in the water." So the pregnant person is admitting that they drank the water!

Gee thought everybody knew that one... must be a Texas thing.
